Join the Penticton Art Gallery on September 28th at 1 pm for it’s first Topics and Tea of the season, entitled “From Script to Screen.”

Join local filmmaker Sam Oliver as she walks us through the completion of her first professional short film production, Scintilla, as well as her journey from science major to full-time filmmaker. Sam felt directionless for many years but took a leap of faith in 2019 and decided to attend film school. Since graduating she has faced the realities of being a woman in the film industry, but despite her setbacks she has been involved in numerous projects in and around the Okanagan and recently wrapped her directorial debut, Scintilla. 

Topics & Tea is a long-standing event at the Gallery that was put on hiatus, but now we are back. We will have a presentation on the last Wednesday of each month and each event will be sponsored by the Bench Market who will provide delicious snacks.
