Summer Camp Week 2: NATURE EXPLORERS

From Emily Carr’s forests to Ted Harrison’s colourful skies, be inspired as you create your own art based on the natural environment!

This art-based camp features a different theme each week, with related art projects and art history.  Camps run from 9am - 3pm and are designed for kids ages 6 - 12. Kids must be 6 years old at the start of camp.

This one-day monthly workshop is for the whole family with young children.

An open-ended studio concept, ages 3+, materials are provided. No experience is necessary.

All sessions are facilitated by a certified IEATA Creative Wellness Service Initiative guide. Using the Expressive Arts approach, these non-clinical workshops are focused on therapeutic presence where participants can create art that encourages resilience, wellness and self-care.

Suitable for adults 19+, materials are provided. No experience is necessary.

Penticton Art Gallery Film Series (formerly Kitchen Stove Film Series) will feature four (4) Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) films over 4 months.  Dates Feb. 19, Mar. 19, Apr. 23, and May 21, 2025 (all Wednesdays).  There are 2 showings per film, at 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

$55 (Member), $65 (Non-Member).  Single ticket $18. Tax included in all prices.

(Note:  This film series is curated for with adult patrons in mind.  Should a patron want to bring a child, “Parental Guidance” is strongly advised.)

This course is an introduction to colour and basic colour theory. Topics include pigments, mixing, neutrals, saturation, value, atmosphere, temperature and art history. Classes combine theory, demonstration and hands-on learning experience. This class is designed to deepen your knowledge of all things related to colour within your practice.

Exploring Watercolour with Shirley McMahon (BFA).

Adult class, 19+

Explore the vibrancy and gentle translucency of watercolours and mixed media. No experience is necessary in this welcoming and supportive three day beginners introductory workshop.

Acquaint yourself with materials and techniques of graded washes while learning colour theory and composition. Have fun creating visual texture using salts and spattering. While using watercolour pencils, pen and ink and collage we will explore creative techniques for unique paintings.
